Translation:
Benito Ramos, our wonderful fencer, gave a great exhibition even though he was defeated. His defeat on the foil, at the hands of the now Olympic champion, the French [Christian Marie Auguste] d'Oriola, is an honorable defeat, even though the world is shocked.
